Shinnosuke and Kiriko are following a trail of illegal knock-offs of the popular Televi-Kun magazine, the Tevile-kun. This investigation puts them against the "mastermind", Roidmude 027, who during battle manages to copy Drive's equipment, becoming Imitation Drive! Now facing the opponent who has all of his skills (not true) and is just as powerful (also not true), Shinnosuke doesn't know what to do, when Mr. Belt comes up with a novel idea - to upgrade all of Drive's equipment to much higher standards. And so, Kamen Rider Drive ascends into High Speed!

A prequel to the 2013 Kyoto Animation series Free! which is an adaptation of light novel High☆Speed!

After witnessing a strange explosion, Shinnosuke Tomari is later visited by a young man claiming to be his son Eiji Tomari from the year 2035. Eiji warns Shinnosuke that a year from now, Mr. Belt's AI will go berserk and lead to the Roidmudes overtaking humanity. However, Shinnosuke cannot immediately deal with this new information when the evil Kamen Rider Dark Drive also comes from the future, causing enough mayhem that leads to Shinnosuke being framed for it and becoming the public's most wanted.

剧场版《High☆Speed：Free! Starting Days》以《Free》的小说原作，由大路小路创作的《High☆Speed》为基础制作。讲述主人公们少年时代的故事。监督改为《冰果》和《甘城辉煌乐园救世主》的武本康弘。角色设定与TV动画版一样，仍然是西武太志。主要角色的声优也保持不变，依然是岛崎信长出演七濑遥，铃木达央出演橘真琴，宫野真守出演松冈凛，代永翼出演叶月渚。

Shortly after Shinnosuke Tomari (Ryoma Takeuchi), Kamen Rider Drive, eradicates the Earth of the 108 Roidmudes, he is put on a special assignment to investigate paranormal activity elsewhere in the city. He heads to the temple Daitenkū-ji to speak with witnesses Akari Tsukimura (Hikaru Ohsawa) and Onari (Takayuki Yanagi), but as he is interrogating them, a Gamma appears and steals an Eyecon from the temple, prompting Takeru Tenkūji (Shun Nishime), Kamen Rider Ghost, to fight it, even though to Shinnosuke it seems that Kamen Rider Ghost is fighting no one at all as he cannot see the Gamma

Four high school friends maintain their ties but finds themselves in very different situations when they reach 21. Chu-won was a promising athlete but, drinking heavily and unable to get past an old flame, he ruins his prospects. Goo-rim became on idol singer, but a drug scandal has seen him fall on hard times. Seo-won, as a medical student at a top university, was faring best among them, until he is diagnosed with leukemia and falls for a teenage escort from their old high school. Meanwhile, Dae-sung is a sex addict with a penchant for mature women who dreams of making his own film.

2015年4月より順次発売される『ドライブ』Blu-ray COLLECTIONに収録予定。特状課の各メンバーが配属されるに至った裏話が明かされる。この作品のみ全4話で構成され、第3話ラストでは事件の真相を当てるクイズも行われる予定。 　　テレビシリーズではロイミュードとのアクションを盛り込まねばならないため作りづらかったミステリー風の推理ドラマとなっており、脚本は『金田一少年の事件簿N』などを手掛けミステリーを得意とする高橋悠也が担当した。
